Good afternoon my lovely readers! Today in Toronto it's currently raining buckets and thundering so what better way to pass the time then to blog!
I was watching missglamorazzi on YouTube and she made a most worn things tag, so I decided to join along and blog about my most worn things! Now the categories are:
Nail polish
Shoes
Hair product
Bag
Accessories
Clothing
Foundation
Blush &/ bronzer
Lip product
Mascara
Eyeshadow!
Starting with nail polish would have to be Essie sand tropez. It's just such a beautiful natural colour beige that seems to be going with everything I wear! My most worn shoes are my dexter black wedges! They are so comfortable and go with everything! Hair product hands down is garnier fructis triple nutrition detangler! This leave in spray works wonders to detangle my hair before I brush it out! Now because I have very thick and long hair I need something like this or else brushing my hair is very painful! Yikes! My go to bag would have to be my rebecca minkoff mini mac in grey! I purchased it in February when I went to NYC with my friend. It is amazing because it's just big enough to fit a wallet a phone and a lip product but it's also small so it doesn't get heavy when you carry it! My favourite accessory has always been rings. I have been collecting rings for about 7 years now so my favourites change quite a bit, however, at the moment I seem to be wearing my silver ring that I received as a birthday present from my mom and dad last year :)
For clothing I chose jeans. Now in particular my second yoga jeans that I purchased at jean machine. I have never had a pair of jeans so comfortable before and yet are a true pair of jeans! I do have them in black and blue and have been re buying them for about 2 years now. I do wear my black ones almost all the time for work so I did have to re purchase a pair a few months ago because they started fading in the inner part of the leg.
My favourite current most worn foundation and blush are both by Burberry. The foundation is sheer foundation trench no 5 and my blush is light glow russet blush no 1. I love the foundation and wear it all the time because it's so light weight but gives a good amount of coverage! I used to have bad skin and now that my skin bad cleared up a lot I feel that the foundation works better on my clear skin and really helps to bring out my natural glow without making me look shiny! Yay! As for blush I have been going back to this blush constantly just because it really brings life onto my face which I love! The picture doesn't really do justice so I really recommend looking at it in person or on the burberry website! My most worn bronzer is physicians formula bronze booster in medium to dark. My most worn lip product at the moment is Anna Sui in 701 sui rouge G. It just gives my natural lip colour an extra boost of colour! My favourite go to mascara is Lancôme hypnôse doll lashes in so black! And lastly but not least is my Chanel illusion d'ombre in émerveillé! I wear it a lot because lately I haven't been in the mood to wear loads of eyeshadows but this cream eyeshadow is easy to apply and just gives a lovely splash of colour to the lid!
Now I hope you enjoyed this tag and I tag all of you readers to post a reply with your most worn things!
Hope to talk to you soon ,

Recent beauty purchases!
Good evening my beautiful readers! I was recently aka yesterday at walmart and like always had to stop by the cosmetics section! Since I have been experimenting with different foundations I decided to try Revlon colour stay 24 hours for combination/oily skin in colour toast. I also purchased Sally Hansen nail polish in pacific blue just because I watched dulce candys new video and she was wearing it. As soon as I saw it I fell in love with the colour! It's almost looks reminds me of a lighter cobalt blue which I love anyways! Now for the foundation, I tried it on today and I have been really liking the wear of it do far! It's been on for 7 hours and it is a little oily, however not enough to really show dramatically on my face. Yay! The downside to the foundation is the colour selection for the combination/oily. I had to choose between a shade too dark or two shades too light. I chose the shade too dark and I just mixed it with a lighter foundation I have at home and it came out just fine! I'm really happy with my two purchases and as for the foundation, will probably purchase a lighter colour for the winter time! :)

Summer Beauty must haves!
Good afternoon beautiful readers!
I was browsing my makeup collection today while I as getting ready for work this morning and realized that I have been opting for the more simple look everyday for the last couple of months! Summer usually means to me minimal makeup to let your glowing skin shine through! Now the problem I usually encounter is too much shine in the wrong places because of my oily skin. So for the last few weeks I have been experimenting with different foundations to see which ones work best to withstand the shine! My go to has definitely been macs studio fix foundation which has a built in powder and colour in one!! Yay :) I always like a little bit of coverage but don't want to feel like I have a pound of makeup on the face! Another must have of mine is liquid liner. I always love to have a little liner to accentuate the eyes because I've been opting out of shadows. My third item is mascara. Now my favourite at the moment is loreals million lashes, however if you prefer a water proof mascara because of smudging then that's great too! Anything to make those lashes pop! Now I have three more must haves for summer. One being a bright pink blush to really bring colour to your already bronzed face! Second, a moisturising lip balm with a tint of colour which Is amazing because your protecting your lips from burning AND you will look fabulous because it has some colour! My current favourites are maybelline baby lips, burts bees, and rose salve! Now my last summer beauty fav is nail polish!! Applying a gorgeous bright colour to your nails will really make you pop for summer. You can do so many different things with your nails! Sally Hansen has these amazing nail stickers which are so low maintenance and no dry time! Who like waiting for nails to dry? I know I don't! Lol

Mac solar ray review
Good evening! While I was on my break at work today I decided to check out the Mac counter! I was taking a look at the new collection and saw this solar ray mineralize blush. My breath was taken away when I saw it! As you can see in the pictures it is a swirl of pink and gold to say the least. Infused with glitter that is not an overspray. Yay! In my opinion this blush will look beautiful on light and dark skins. For light skins it can work as a blush when applied more heavily and on darker skins will be a gorgeous highlighter! I can just picture this peachy golden colour on my beautiful chocolate brown skin will looking stunning! In all I am in love with this product and would definitely recommend buying this blush. I believe it retails for 23$ however I bought it with my bay points so I did not have to pay out of my own money. Yay for points cards! 😃

Foundation Review/ Comparison!
Hi! you all must be thinking wow! two posts in one day! However the previous post was more of a question and not a review or blog about anything in particular, so with that being said I decided to do a comparison review on two foundations that I own. One being the Mac Pro Longwear, and the other being Guerlain Parure Gold. Now the reason I decided to choose these particular foundations is because I had done research on them when I was in school last year and that's why I'm reviewing them for you :)
I have made a chart with the claims, prices, and basically everything comparing the two products and then below will be my opinion of the two based on how they wore on my skin. ( I have oily skin)
Mac

I have made a chart with the claims, prices, and basically everything comparing the two products and then below will be my opinion of the two based on how they wore on my skin. ( I have oily skin)
Mac
Macs Pro Longwear liquid foundation has an active ingredient
called Titanium Dioxide of 4.7%. This foundation claims to have a SPF of 10.
Titanium Dioxide acts as a UV absorber and has UV resistant properties.
Although this foundation has a SPF of 10, it does not mean people using this
product should be substituting their sunscreens for this foundation. An SPF of
5-14 only provides sun protection of 50-140 minutes maximum. With that said, an
average person will only put a few pumps of the foundation on their face, and
not the whole bottle (That is whenever they use the product). In order to
receive the full amount of SPF 10, a person would have to put on the full
bottle of foundation. Many people have the misconception of cosmetic products
when they say they provide SPF protection. In order to receive the full amount
labeled on the bottle, the whole product needs to be deposited on the skin.
Guerlain
Like Macs Pro Longwear liquid foundation, Guerlain’s Parure
Gold liquid foundation also has the active ingredient of Titantium Dioxide of
2.5% and also contains Octinoxate. Octinoxate is a chemical sunscreen that
absorbs UVB radiation. It does not protect against UVA and is the most widely
used UVB blocking agent in the skin care industry. The Guerlain foundation has a SPF of
15, however unlike the Mac foundation is not provided with that information on
the bottle. Parure Gold is more focused on diminishing wrinkles and smoothing
out the skin rather than providing SPF even though it is there.
My Opinion
Due to the fact that I own both of these products, I was
able to do a physical comparison of Macs Pro Longwear liquid foundation and
Guerlain’s Parure Gold liquid foundation. I placed Macs foundation on one side
of my face and Guerlain’s foundation on the other and left them on for a total
of 9 hours. I felt the Guerlain foundation blended easily on my face while I
applied it and it also had a very thin almost water like texture to it. Macs
foundation also blended easily and had a more creamy texture to it. Both of the
foundations lasted throughout the day; however the Mac foundation left my
t-zone a bit shiny towards the 6 hour mark. I liked Macs matte finish rather
than Guerlain’s more satin to matte finish. I could not testify against
Guerlain’s statement in which it diminishes the look of fine lines and wrinkles
because I do not have any, however I can say that it left my skin feeling soft
and smooth. The fact that I naturally have very oily skin, I tend to lean
towards powder foundations; but because Mac stated the Pro Longwear would
control oil and keep it looking fresh throughout the day I thought I would try
it out. Like I said before, around the 6 hour mark of wearing the Mac
foundation, it did leave a little bit of oiliness on my skin contrary of what
it said it would do. That could however be because I have very oily skin and
this foundation is meant for people with normal skin. Overall, I was pleased
with both foundations. I did enjoy Guerlain’s foundation a bit more just
because it did not make my skin look oily, but I was not very fond of the
finish of the actual foundation. I enjoyed wearing Macs foundation because of
the matte finish, however I did not like the fact that it left my skin a bit
oily when it said it wouldn’t. If I had to choose between the two foundations,
it would more likely be Guerlain’s because of the way it felt on my skin, and
because it gave a more full coverage. Price wise, I would more likely go
towards the Mac foundation because it is about half the price of the Guerlain
foundation.

Good morning!
So as I mentioned in my last blog post, I guessed I wouldn't be sleeping well last night and call me a mind reader but as predicted I didn't! Haha. So the fact that I'm now getting out of bed at 11:30 am should sound normal under the circumstances :)
Now the true reason I'm posting this blog is not to complain about my lack of sleep but to ask for your help! I would love to know what you all love to read about in fashion/ beauty blogs! I know I love seeing hauls, product reviews, outfit of the days, maybe a step by step outline of a makeup tutorial?
I would love for all of you readers you happen to stumble upon this page to let me know what you want to see! I'm planning on doing some giveaways in the future however I need to get some subscribers to my blog first! Haha so please help me out and let me know what you like to see and I will do my best to write about it!

Current favourite nail polishes
Hello all! I was just sitting in my room after taking a 5 hour nap (not a good idea because now I won't be able to sleep at all tonight lol) and decided to write about some of my favourite nail polish colours! Now because it's dark at the moment I won't be able to take pictures of the bottles without them looking weird so I will edit this in the morning and add the proper pictures:) So onto the point of this blog haha I have recently been in love with Essie nail polishes! I feel like the consistency is a little better than OPI so with that being said a lot of the colours are Essie. So I will first list the colours and then explain what the look like.
Essie- sand tropez
Essie- sugar daddy
Essie- mod square
OPI- big apple red
Butter London- muggins
Essie- Aruba blue
Essie- tart deco
Ok! I feel like those were a lot for one blog post lol but anyways starting with Essie sand tropez is just a beautiful light sandy beige colour which I usually wear if I want something a little richer than my natural nail colour. Sugar daddy is kind of the same for me however it's on the pink side. This colour is not opaque at all but with 2-3 coats you will get a beautiful sheen and finish to your nails. Mod square is a gorgeous pink with blue undertones and is opaque so you dont need too many coats to get a wonderful colour! (yay!) OPI big apple red is my favourite red I would have to say, it is another blue undertone red but it so deep and gives such a beautiful opaque colour to the nail! I definitely go for this colour when I'm traveling to new York 😉 haha. Butter London's muggins I mentioned in my other blog post and is just a wonderful purple grey colour. It doesn't have any glitter and is beautifully opaque. Aruba blue is my all time favourite deep blue. When I wear it I feel like I'm swimming in the oceans of Aruba! Haha. It has a lovely sheen to it with hints of cobalt blue infused in it. Now last but not least! Essie tart deco. Now I have a funny story about this one. When I was at Mac I just felt like buying nail polish even though I heard bad things about the consistency I just had to see for myself! So I bought a colour called play day and it was apart of one of their collections earlier this year I believe. But when I got home I noticed it looks like tart deco! However the formula of tart deco is much better and not streaky at all as the mac one is. It is a pale coral I would say and it just beautiful for the summer when you want some colour!
Now those are some of my favourite colours at the moment and obviously with season changes the colours I favor change as well. Hope you enjoyed and I hope you look into some of these colours!

London and Paris flight for two please!
If anyone were to go through my phone they would see that I have over 2000 pictures that I just can't bare to delete! It's funny because they are on my computer but I like to be able to look through old pictures and just remember the amazing times I had with people I love! For instance, the picture I have posted is of my sister and I in Paris when we went last september! Wow time goes by fast. I remember it like it was just yesterday!
London was honestly so beautiful and I had such an amazing time looking at all the major sites like Buckingham palace, the London eye, Stonehenge, the roman baths, Harrods (haha), and much much more! We arrived in Paris at night so this first thing we did was tour the city on our bus and our last stop was the incredible eiffel tower. As soon as I saw it light up it just took my breath away. It was so magical and was everything I imagined it to be :)
Looking back on these memories and knowing that I had such an amazing time really makes life worth living don't you think?

Veronica's Favourite Things
I always knew it was a happy christmas when Oprah would have her episode of her favourite things. Now I know its not christmas and really don't want to be thinking about how close it is to the cold weather and slush but I thought it would be a nice twist to monthly favourites and whenever I collect a good amount of items I have been loving, I will share them on here. This way I don't have to wait a month necessarily!
Now without further adeau ( hope I'm spelling that right :) ) here are my favourite things.
My first item which has been such a must for me this summer has been the lush lip scrub. Combined witht the kheils vanilla lip moisturizer has been such a life saver for my lips. Every night before bed I always scrub my lips really nice and apply the moisturizer. It really has made such a difference in the appearance of my lips. My mom has even complemented on how full and plump they look haha!
Another item that I have been loving has been my purity cleanser. I recently recieved it as a prize at work for finally doing something right ( just kidding! haha). Truthfully there was a contest and I just decided to partake in it so I could win some philosophy products. I also won the black cherry italian soda soap. That I haven't tried yet because I'm trying to finish my other bath products first. I was however very excited to try the purity cleanser because my skin is very sensitive and usually does not clear easily. If something doesn't sit well with my skin, I will just break out and become very red. However! the purity cleasner has been doing wonders for my skin. As soon as I apply it to my face I feel like it's deep cleaning my skin and leaving so soft and glowing without the redness and acne! (What girl doesn't want that!)
Now my last favourite for now would have to be Butter London in Muggins. It is a grey purple colour and everytime I wear it I always get complements :)
I will try to insert a picture but I do have pictures of my favourite nailpolishs on my instagram which is lalaveroo.
Thank you for listening and I hope to talk to you soon,
lots of love,
Veronica Alessandra xox
